Week's break
Being completely away for a week, avoiding all activity with the band is a surreal experience. In an occupation where being obssessed with your job is a prime requisite - an occupation where you have to be very, very conscious to NOT talk about your job all the time for fear of sounding arrogant or boring your company to death (yet I probably do frequently) - landing yourself in an environment completely alien for a temporary amount of time can do wonders for your headspace. I'm forcing myself to see a different perspective, I'm learning to hate what I love so I can choose to love it at the right time and like a bad healthcare insurance commerical, I'm trying desperately not to let myself forget that every minute is both precious and valuable.. you can do so much in a minute if you're not sitting blankly staring at a computer screen if only you'd just stop caring so much and just write what comes to you.
Well we've got our first hard-format worldwide release through MotoGP 360 which is out tomorrow (Friday) for XBox. It's a good job I'm not a cynic or else I'd be thinking that the only people that are actually going to hear us there are nerds with lots more money than sense who happen to like motorbikes. Actually, we made our international debut via some teenage girls' TV show, but we kinda kept that under the lid a little bit in order to save our macho *cough* image. Can't remember what it was called... Twinkle or Wishy or something like that... will have to find out. I'm curious now and oughta see if I can get hold of the show...
