Gig Review: 4th May 2006 - Cargo

Unfortunately I'd forgotten to recharge my camera battery so we're making use of camera phone images in the van on the way back. Hopefully someone out there will send us some shots of this one... please do if you took any photos from that night.

A freakishly hot day meant that punters were pretty slow making it out to the venue.. A great night nevertheless, with uber cool and very friendly Laid Blak (vocal-led reggae). Of course, we were proud to be supporting the legendary jungle-pioneers Congo Natty who were on after us. (Some guy I spoke to said he flew in from Toronto to come and see them...) The hot weather also meant it was pretty hot on stage too. Actually had the laptop overheat and crash in the middle of the set which was a pretty distressing experience. Once again though, we were reminded that we must absolutely replace the damn CD player. We're getting pretty adept at jumping forward ahead a couple of beats but we'd really rather just be focusing on delivering a good show.
