Gig Review: 28th May 2006 - Rat & Parrot, Woking

 


One of the more surreal places to play. And as our support, (part-music, part cabaret-stand-up-comedy act) Liquid Laugh said, "So.. Woking eh? What's with all the loud cars?" Aside from a painful set-up process, the night went relatively smoothly and familiar faces turned up to see us, as well as a few unsuspecting bystanders who got into the swing of things.

"Thankyou for the best night out I've ever had in Woking. And I've lived here all my life." Thanks.. I think. The beaming smile on her face told me that it was a compliment.

And I know it's 'just' Woking and that there was nothing wrong with our set tonight, but there's still room for our performance to be slicker, more polished and deliver more. When we reach that standard, the notch will just go up again.
