Server move and more facts about the Subsource website
Hurrah, the website has been moved onto a different server. This probably doesn't mean shit to most of you reading, but I digress - and I'm ashamed to admit that we've moved away from a small friendly service with emphasis on customer service to a big corporation who would probably rather eat their grandmothers than actually talk to a customer with a problem. Anyway, it's cheaper and we needed more bandwidth.
I figured it was time to look nostalgically over the weblogs from since when the site first went up, and here's some Subsource site trivia knowledge for you:
1. Neil's interview is the least accessed, with Stuey's and mine exactly equal at 209.
2. 66% of our hits were from the US. 25% were from the UK.
3. Despite only having signed up for a couple of weeks ago, Myspace has given us almost as many referrals as Google. We had one referral from our irrelevant commercial local radio station, 964eagle.co.uk and one from adultactioncam.com.
4. After "Subsource", the most common single search words used that resulted in a hit on the site were, "drum", "bass", "live" and then "muff".
THREE people managed to access the Subsource site after searching for, "keanu reeve's role in the matrix". They were all American.
One person stumbled across the site after searching for, "oasis cover bands". They left after 3 seconds.
Finally, one was looking for, "naked in front of your mother". Now I've just been to the Google site and I don't think we're high up enough for that search so I urge anyone actually reading this to go to Google now, and search for "naked in front of your mother". (With quotation marks.) At time of writing, we're at the bottom of the second page. If we get enough hits on that link, we'll soon start climbing... I'll be giving frequent updates on this.
I really ought to spend more time writing music, I know.
