Gig last Friday
Well, we did our first gig for a while on Thursday and I'm happy to say it went alright although we were a little slow getting started. Well that's what happens when you don't let the band with 3 laptops soundcheck...
The venue was The Watershed in Wimbledon and we were second on the bill with One Trick Pony, 8-fold and Kieritsu. All pretty good stuff - I have a feeling that OTP (fusion-y breaks) are still developing their act a little and need more work on their writing. 8-fold (Rage-esque) were absolutely awesome and I'd check them out if you can. Enjoyed the 10-piece Kieriitsu (party-style dance) but I probably wanted to be less sober than I was to fully appreciate them.
Apologies to both our fans and the promoters of the night for not really telling anyone about it but this was a test-run for us to see how the set went. Conclusion: we really do need an MC of some sort to front the show. And all equipment really needs to be thoroughly tested, preferably BEFORE the gig rather than AT the gig. Ahem.
